Introduction: Why a Cube?  Three Cubes in the Bible

  • The Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle was cube-shaped
  • The Holy of Holies in the Temple was cube-shaped—the place where God dwelt.
  • The New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven is cube-shaped.
  • The Cube illustrates things disciples need to know and be. 
  • Perhaps better than any other chapter in the Bible, Leviticus 19 explains what it meant for Israel to live as a holy nation. Through Moses, God spoke to the people, saying, “Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy” (Leviticus 19:2). Both the Old and the New Testament stress the importance of cultivating personal holiness in the life of every believer: “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy’” (1 Peter 1:15–16).

The Cube as an example

  • Nikola Tesla studied patterns of energy, math, and nature—focusing on numbers 3, 6, and 9.
  • Ernő Rubik built on these ideas, creating the cube as a teaching tool for spatial reasoning.
  • Only 1% of people can solve a Rubik’s Cube without a coach.
  • Similarly, only 1% of Christians have a specific plan to make disciples. We need a coach.
  • The Cube is a discipleship tool that explains the life of a disciple.

Overview – The Six Sides of the Cube

Three Decisions 

  1. Follow – “Come, follow Me.”
  2. Learn – “And I will teach you.”
  3. Fish – “I will make you fishers of men.”

Three Distractions 

  1. The World – Athens.
  2. The Flesh – Alexandria.
  3. The Devil – Babylon.

Each side has nine blocks. Each provide a question and answer that explain and defend a Biblical worldview … with Apologetics = R.E.A.D 

Reasons, Evidences, Answers that Defend.

Side 1 – Willing to Follow Jesus

1. Who do we confess as Lord?

  • Romans 10:9 – “If you confess with your mouth… and believe in your heart… you will be saved.”
  • Salvation involves: confession, repentance, belief, and walking with the Spirit.
  • Paul encourages us to be like a Soldier → Courage, an Athlete → Conviction, and a Farmer → Competence. These models help us to have Character like Christ. 

2. What actions did God take?

  • Redeemed us (John 3:16).
  • Died for us (2 Corinthians 5:21).
  • Raised for us (Romans 4:25).
  • Sent His Spirit (Titus 3:5).
  • Justified us (Ephesians 2:8).
  • Adopted us (John 1:12).
  • Sanctifies us (Philippians 1:6).
  • Keeps us (1 John 5:13).

God initiates salvation. We respond in faith.

3. When did God choose us?

  • Foreknew (Romans 8:29).
  • Predestined (Romans 8:29-30, Ephesians 1:5).
  • Called (Romans 8:30).
  • Justified (Romans 5:1).
  • Glorified (Romans 8:30).

4. Where am I going? 

  • Heaven is our destination (Philippians 3:20).
  • The journey is narrow (Matthew 7:13–14).
  • Pilgrim’s Progress reminds us of our path from destruction to the Celestial City.

5. Why follow Jesus?

  • Because He is Lord, Savior, and Worthy.
  • The path is hard but the reward is eternal.
  • Trials refine us (James 1:2–4).
  • Suffering grows endurance and hope (Romans 5:3–5).

6. How do we follow Him?

Be Filled with the Spirit

  • Mediation on God’s Word
  • Talk to God (A.C.T.S.) Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication.
  • Practice “One Another” Commands
  • Eight Commands of Love & Unity – Like – Accept one another (Rom. 15:7)
  • Four Commands of Humility & Service – Like – Serve one another (Gal. 5:13) 
  • Six Commands of Encouragement & Edification – Like Encourage one another (1 Thess. 4:18; 5:11; Heb. 3:13; 10:25)
  • Seven Commands About Sin, Forgiveness, & Accountability – Like – Do not lie to one another (Col. 3:9)
  • Three Commands About Fellowship & Hospitality – Like – Show hospitality to one another (1 Pet. 4:9)
  • Five Negative Commands (“Do Not”) – Like – Do not judge one another (Rom. 14:13)

  • Provides apologetics tools for families and churches.
  • Principle: “Those who honor Me I will honor.” (1 Samuel 2:30).

  • Restores biblical education—truth, beauty, goodness.
  • Trains whole souls, not just skills.
  • Principle: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9:10).

  • Brings biblical values into public life.
  • Equips young leaders to stand for truth and freedom.
  • Principle: “You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:14–16).
